Short-Wave Radios are the primary means of communication the Wise Men use to keep in touch with each other. With a maximum range of 8 miles, these devices are used to coordinate fleet movements, shift rotations, and (when a the fleet is pulling to land) landings. The captains possess their own channels used at set times, while each ship also has an internal radio channel used for alerts and notifications across major points, such as crew quarters and gun turrets, as well as any specialized areas each dreadnought possesses. The short-wave radios with the largest signal range are the ones located in the captain's quarters and the ones located on each ship's bridge- others are much shorter in range, usually only capable of at most a mile of transmission to enable inter-ship communication.
